This is a dual role for a business analyst and trade application support within the Equity Technology team. The candidate is responsible from engaging with stakeholders to understand their processes and needs, leading the projects to implement them, to supporting them post-implementation. The candidate will be in a unique position to be the bridge between business and technology verticals that makes up Equity Technology.
Responsibilities
- Symmetry trading platforms are for various asset classes including Equities/Fixed Income/FX/Commodities, both cash and derivatives.
- Monitor trading platforms to ensure that trade executions can happen seamlessly.
- Provide front line support for trading platforms.
- Work with our technologists and external vendors to improve and implement new capabilities for our trading platforms.
- Develop relationships with traders and business teams.
- Work with our development teams to understand, support and drive requirements for our in-house systems.
The first 3-6 months
- Learn about our existing trading platforms.
- Learn from our business management / trading solutions / operation team and pick up their tasks.
- Meet the investment team members and start to build working relationship by supporting them.
Hard Requirements
- Experience in Equities application support is important, preferably from front to back covering areas such as OEMS, market data, risk, operations and portfolio management.
- Experience involved in requirements gathering.
- Experience working with engineering teams and able to write technical specs where necessary.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
