Symmetry is looking for an exceptional candidate to join our market data development/support team.

• Provide technical support to users of the platform (Address any issues with data access or functionality in a timely manner, respond to ad hoc queries and requests from traders, perform morning system checks to ensure platform is running smoothly)
• Develop and maintain the company's market data aggregation platform (Write code to ingest, clean, and normalize data from multiple sources, optimize performance and scalability, troubleshoot and fix bugs
• Suggest improvements to the platform and implement enhancements (Identify areas for optimization based on user feedback, plan and execute platform upgrades and new feature development)
• Maintain data quality within the platform (Monitor for anomalies or missing data, develop tools to verify data accuracy)

The First 3 to 6 Months

• Learn how data is downloaded, processed, stored in our internal market data system and how it is accessed by users.
• Support user queries related to data quality
• Developing the part of the system which downloads data externally and store them inside our internal market data system.
